2. Peñakulo Manor. Adhered to the rock, this manor was built in 1860. Currently it is used as a sheepfold.
3. Lookout of the Arantzazu neighbourhood. First point prepared for resting and enjoying the landscape. In front, the mountain ranges of Urkilla and Elgea, crowned by windmills.
4. The forest. A few metres later the open landscape disappears and we go into the forest. The pollared beech trees, located at the edge of the road, show the footprint left by our ancestors, the coal workers.
5. Grazing lands of Gomiztegi. 200 metres after leaving the forest, the road forks. We will continue on the left road. This large green field and fine grassland on both sides of the road constitutes the basic means of support of the flock of latxa sheep of the Gomiztegi manor. The excellent Idiazabal cheese is obtained from them.
